Befar Group was established in 1968, was put into operation in 1970, and now it had already developed into a comprehensive chemical enterprise with outstanding principal work and complete industrial chain which includes refinery, refined chemicals, chloro-alkaline, thermoelectricity, port storage and investment. Approved by the municipal government, Befar Group Co.,Ltd.(the original ShanDong Befar Group Co,.Ltd.) was reformed into a limited company invested by the enterprise high-levels，employee and government from a state-owned company in Aug 2004. And in Oct 2007,Befar changed into a stock company with registered capital 330 million Yuan. Befar owns 7 subsidiaries, the sales income of the stock company in 2007 up to 2.1 billion Yuan with 0.37 billion Yuan profit.
 Befar annual producing capacity at present is as follows, 180000 ton caustic soda plant with 50000 ton flake soda unit, 100000 ton propane oxide plant, 20000 ton oil field agent. And in the end of Q2 2008, the new 240000 ton soda plant with 100000 ton pearl soda processing unit will be put into production, together with 120000 ton PVC, 60000 ton PO and 40000 ton TCE. ‘Befar’brand was continuously evaluated famous brand in recent years by central government authorities and ShanDong province government. Also Befar became the bitumen producing base substituting for import product in China.
